Meet the maker
Originally from Indiana, HG Fox is a multi-disciplinary maker. She holds a degree in Textile Art from Earlham College, and an MFA in Integrative Studio Practice from Herron School of Fine Art. Her work has been featured in multiple publications including Handwoven Magazine, and a version of her thesis installation Potentially Infectious Material is on permanent display at Healer Art and Music Venue in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Her practice is rooted in sustainable making, zero-waste, and only using recycled, reclaimed, donated, and found materials. Her conceptual work addresses living and coping with mental illness, physical disabilities, gender disparity, climate change and the destruction of natural resources.
She lives and works in Oakland, California with her partner and two cats.
